that they might take in the future.

introduzione a Shibboleth organizzato dalla Biblioteca
dell’Area di Ricerca CNR di Bologna. Il seminario,
che vuole presentare l'architettura ed il funzionamento di Shibboleth e
illustrare i passi necessari per installare le sue componenti, si
terrà

IDEM www.idem.garr.it
- IDEntity Management (IDEM)
è il nome del progetto pilota per la realizzazione dell'Infrastruttura
di Autenticazione e Autorizzazione federata della rete GARR. Una AAI
gestisce le procedure di autenticazione e autorizzazione tra un utente,
la sua organizzazione di origine e i servizi offerti sulla rete. La
molteplicità di servizi offerti sulle rete, unita alla crescente
mobilità dell'utenza, pone oggi nuove problematiche quali:
- l'utente
deve ricordarsi e gestire un numero sempre maggiore di password per
l'accesso ai vari servizi;
- garantire
l'accesso agli stessi servizi anche al di fuori della propria abituale
sede di lavoro;
- difficoltà
per i fornitori di servizio, di avere garanzie adeguate sull'identità
degli utenti;
- onerosità
nella gestione delle procedure di accreditamento e amministrazione
delle utenze.
Lo
scopo di wuesto progetto è dare delle risposte a queste esigenze

al progetto diverse università italiane, centri di ricerca, i consorzi
CASPUR e CILEA, NILDE ed alcuni editori internazionali
